Our Story
Orange County Christian Learning Centers (OCCLC) was founded with a clear mission: to provide a Christ-centered, affordable, and flexible educational alternative for families in Orange County. The vision for OCCLC was born out of a deep conviction that parents are the primary influence in their children's lives and should have a say in their education, especially at a time when many families were seeking alternatives to public and private schooling.

In September 2021, OCCLC began its journey with a modest start—just three small Sunday School rooms and 14 students. The founders, driven by a commitment to integrate Christian values into every aspect of education, partnered with a local church to create a supportive environment for homeschooling families.

The initial response from the community was overwhelmingly positive. Parents were eager for an educational option that aligned with their faith and provided a safe, nurturing environment for their children. By March 2022, OCCLC had grown to 45 students across two local church campuses, demonstrating the demand for its unique approach to education.
In the following year, OCCLC expanded its reach and influence. By September 2024, the center had grown enrollment and was serving over 70 students with a curriculum that emphasized academic rigor, moral development, and the integration of faith and learning.

Throughout its history, OCCLC has remained true to its core values: being Christ-centered, partnering with parents, maintaining flexibility, ensuring affordability, and upholding academic standards. These guiding principles have allowed OCCLC to grow steadily while maintaining the intimate, community-focused atmosphere that sets it apart.
As OCCLC looks to the future, the center continues to seek ways to expand its impact, offering more families access to a Christ-centered education that supports their spiritual and academic needs. The center's leadership remains dedicated to serving the families of Orange County, providing a place where children can grow in knowledge, character, and faith.
